Teaser Tuesdays...a day late!

(Compliments of MizB @ Should Be Reading)

Here's what you're asked to do:
  1. Grab your current read.
  2. Let the book fall open to a random page.
  3. Share two teaser sentences from that page, somewhere between lines 7 and 12.
  4. Share the title of the book that the “teaser” comes from ~ so people can find the book if they like the teaser.
  5. And remember – AVOID SPOILERS!!
Here's mine:

"Reverend Cordell turned sober. 'Until the worst of this illness passes, I say we suspend services and each household conduct their own. The more this disease spreads, the harder it will be to stamp out.'"

  2. Hey Renee! So far, it's good, but I'm only a couple of chapters in. You should definitely read the books, but be sure to read Twice Loved first...this one takes up where that one left off. =) If only we had more time......

  4. Hey Lori!
I REALLY love your background! Very pretty : )

    Okay here's my teaser:
""Because if you don't, I'm going to take that sweet thing sleeping with you in the safe house and show her what a real man can do." This guy was watching them?"

I'm about 50ish pages into it and it's good. There's already a big mystery air to it. I really want to know what the main characters secret is!? Lol...

    Thanks Lori!

  5. Hey Angie ~ This is a great series...you should give them a try! =)

Hey Hannah ~ Whew! That doesn't sound like a Love Inspired book! I'll have to see if I can borrow it from Whitney, my sister. You've gotten me curious to know the story behind that line! Thanks a lot! LOL

I'm glad you like my background...thanks! I'm trying to only change it once a month, instead of weekly, or more often! I can't help it...I'm always finding something else I like. If you want to add one to your blog...there's a lavender button at the bottom of my sidebar that will take you to the site I found this one on. They have LOTS of cute ones!

Thank you ladies for dropping by!

  6. Here's mine - though some of you may recognize it before you read the name:

And though he didn't realize it, their keeping a certain distance from each other was in his best interest too, especially considering the upcoming elections Davenport had mentioned-- and the child growing inside of her.

    Any guesses? lol

Yep - I am finally reading Beyond This Moment by Tamera Alexander. I bought both books in the series and just finished the first one earlier today - and literally started this one an hour ago.

  7. YAY! Lee...I'm so happy! Don't you just love them?? IMO, Beyond This Moment is better. What do you think? Do you have tissues handy?

I can't wait to read your review! :D

  8. Okay thanks! I'll have to check it out because it's really nice : )

I know! It soooo doesn't sound like a LI...I totally opened it up to a random page, though. I'm extremely interested myself to know what is going to happen. Although, I have a lot more background than you already since I'm reading it. I know something that might have to do with it...I know something you don't know!! : P

Lol...anyway. Does your sister buy ALL the LI in all 3 kinds every month? Because if she does, kudos to her! Lol...with 6, 4, and 2 every month, it's really hard. Usually I get 3 or 4 of the LIR and 2 or 3 of the LIS. I try to narrow it down, so I'm not spending quite so much every month : )
    THanks!

  9. LOL smarty pants! I'll see if I can borrow Whitney's, then I'll know what's going on, too! *sticking out my tongue at you*

She used to buy ALL of them, some thru the mail and some at Wal-Mart. I'm not sure if she still gets all 3 or not. It does get costly! I don't see how she does it.

I'm glad you came by! See you soon!

  10. When you said all 3, I was like "what!?!" but then I figured out that you meant all 3 kinds of LI books : ) I buy all of mine at Walmart, easier that way for me. At Kmart, though, they are over a dollar more than at Walmart! I'm like why would anyone buy them at Kmart when they could buy them at Walmart!? Lol....

I read a bunch more today at physical therapy, so I'm wayyyyy ahead of you now *grin*
    Talk to you later!
