Great news!! The FTC has clarified their new "guidelines" ~ basically they've stated that individual bloggers who have a '“personal blog, writing a genuine or organic review,” did not need to disclose how they got the book or assign it a value."'

This a huge relief to me, as I'm very bad about
stressing out over stuff like this! LOL

Wait...so what does this mean exactly? Sorry, but I'm kinda...under the weather tonight and kinda slow...

Lots of us bloggers were stressing out the last week or so, thinking we were gonna be required to say where the books we review came from...were they free from the publishers, authors, etc.?? Were we keeping them, giving them away?? It was very annoying to say the least! Obviously, we were stressing over nothing! YAY!

Thanks for posting this! I'm so new to blogging and it really worried me! I'm SO releaved.
ReplyDeleteP.s. I saw the buttons on the side of your blog. Do you make your own? I want to make one but I'm not very techy. :/
You're welcome, Carman...I'm SO relieved, too! :)
ReplyDeleteYes...I did create my own buttons! It wasn't nearly as hard as I though it would be, and I'm not really techy either! LOL
If you have an image you'd like to use...I'll be happy to make one for you, or you can email me thru "view my complete profile" and I'll send you the directions I have saved in my email. I've actually helped a couple of bloggers with their buttons! hahaha Let me know what you decide...

Thank you so much for sharing. I would like to have the directions to make a button, too, if you don't mind.
