This week I've chosen:
The Pastor's Wife
by Jennifer AlLee
Release Date:
February 2010
(from Jennifer's website)
He loves me . . . he loves me not . . .
Maura Sullivan thought she knew what she was getting into when she married soon-to-be pastor Nick Shepherd. But when “the other woman” in her marriage turned out to be her husband's congregation, she ran. Three years later, she’s back in the small community of Granger, Ohio, for the reading of a will that names both her and Nick as beneficiaries. Now Maura must face the husband – and the congregation – she left behind.

I just LOVE the cover of this book!! The Daisy is beautiful! :)
Hey Lori...
ReplyDeleteI've forgotten to tell you before that my aunt's dog is Daisy : )
If I had to pick a book I was waiting for it'd be...Jodi Picoult's new book that'll be out in March of 2010. She has a new book come out every March(usually) and I own all but 2 of her 16 books : ) She's a guilty pleasure!
This book sounds really good and I agree the cover does grab you : )

HANNAH ~ How are you feeling today? Better, I hope!
ReplyDeleteAwww...that's a cute name for a dog. :)
Which 2 "Jodi" books are you missing? I'll keep an eye out for them for you...do you prefer paperback, hardcover, or it doesn't matter??
I hope this book turns out to be as good as it sounds!
RENEE ~ Doesn't it though?? Great to see you today! ;)
HANNAH!!! I just realized that this is my 100th post and you were the very first commenter!! Guess what that means?? You win a FREE book!! Please email me, so I can find out more about what type of books you like to read...surely I have something here that I can send you! CONGRATULATIONS!!! Woo-hoo!!
ReplyDeleteBTW, are you and your sister feeling better? You've been really quiet today...is everything okay?
I hope to hear from you soon...

Hey Lori!
ReplyDeleteLol...don't be so concerned, girl! I had to get blood drawn this morning. Then I had PT. Then I went for a manicure with my sis and aunt because of dance. Yes, we're going. Yes, we're feeling a bit better. : )
There's my synopsis of the day!
That is soooo cool for you that it's your 100th post!!!! I have 70 something right now I think.
The 2 books of Jodi's are Second Glance and Picture Perfect. I want to read Second Glance again because I don't think that I appreciated it the first time I read it. And Picture Perfect is her only book that I was disappointed in. But I think that's pretty good! Lol...1 out of 16! Plus, one of my friends loved it...so maybe it's just me. Are you familiar with her books?
Thanks again!!!
Hannah
Yay! It sounds like... You're feelin' better...you're feelin' better! You're goin' dancin'...you're goin' dancin'! *me chanting for you* (for some reason I could hear it in my head as Sandra Bullock's voice?? Miss Congeniality maybe? "You think I'm pretty...you're gonna love me"??) Something along those lines! LOL
ReplyDeleteIf I come across Second Glance...I'll get it for you. I've never read any of her books, but I see them everywhere!!
Glad you're feeling better!
~ Lori
Thanks : ) I am!
ReplyDeleteLOL about the chanting! I LOVE Snadra Bullock! Her sister has a bakery not to far from where I live. Sandra visits sometimes : )
You totally NEED to read Jodi! I know her too, if I hadn't mentioned that : )
Hannah
Sandra Bullock is wonderful! Well, her movies anyway...I've never met her. WOW! You are one lucky girl...you know Sandra Bullock AND Jodi Picoult?? I really need to come and visit you! LOL
ReplyDelete~ Lori
