Teaser Tuesday

(Compliments of MizB @ Should Be Reading)

Here's what you're asked to do:
  1. Grab your current read.
  2. Let the book fall open to a random page.
  3. Share two teaser sentences from that page, somewhere between lines 7 and 12.
  4. Share the title of the book that the “teaser” comes from ~ so people can find the book if they like the teaser.
  5. And remember – AVOID SPOILERS!!
Here's mine:

"The image of sleeping on Elijah's shoulder flickered through her
mind. That had been entirely different
."

  2. Ooooo nice one Lori! I finished the book from last week's spoilers...oh my goodness gracious! It was sooo good! The ending is action packed, girl, lemme tell you! : ) Plus, in the context of the book, my spoiler makes complete sense...so you'll just have to read it and find out I guess!

    Here's mine:
"He wore a threadbare chapan worn to frayed shreds and a dirt-encrusted turban. His left eyelid drooped over an empty socket."

This is our next assigned reading book for english. It has a very...interesting beginning. I'm choosing to read this as my fiction book also right now. Usually I'm reading a fiction book for pleasure AND the assigned reading book. I think that it will be easier and still enjoyable to just read The Kite Runner. Then though, I'll have a hard time choosing my next book : )

  3. I had The Kite Runner, but traded it on PBS w/o reading it! If it doesn't have some sort of romance, I usually don't read it! I know, I know...that's bad, but I can't help it! LOL

Thanks for reminding me about Protector's Honor...gotta remember to borrow that from my sister!

  5. I borrowed my book from the library and am hoping I can renew it since I only just started it. Well, maybe if I quit reading blogs I'd get it read.

  6. In answer about how to put a link in: I'm sure the way I do it is not correct, but it works. I open a new post and type what I want to say and insert the link. Then I browse around and just copy and paste. Just don't publish your post! When I'm done with those comments I just delete the post.

  7. BETH ~ Your book is a great choice...I LOVE her Anne of Green Gables books! *sigh* I hope you can renew it, too!

Thank you for helping me! I plan to try this as soon as I have a chance. :)

  9. BETH ~ I tried what I thought you meant...but it didn't work?? I just type something like...Here's mine!...highlight the text...insert the link to my post...copy/paste it in my comment?? Is that what you're saying?

    Thanks!
